GAFE Add-ons (Lynda Dye and Natalie Kelly)- Google Apps for education released Add-ons in the spring of 2014. Add-ons are Apps built by third-party services that add more functionality to Docs, Forms, and Sheets. Add-ons can add formulas to your docs and forms, analyze your form results, allows collaborative brainstorming using mapping tools, create automatic bibliographies and so much more!! Participants should have basic knowledge on how to use GAFE..
Digital Portfolios and Digital Lab Notebooks using Websites and GAFE (Erin Radebe)- .org? .me? gmail? Can't figure out to sign into your account to access all your shared materials from students? This session will help with some tricks and tips on how to effectively use the GAFE in instruction. We will also explore how the GAFE and student websites can be used to create digital portfolios including unit projects and digital lab notebooks.
Meet Canvas – Your New Learning Management System (Bob Cole) - HCPSS is implementing a new LMS for students, staff, and parents. Come learn some basic Canvas functions that support content organization, scheduling, communication, and assessment in your BYOD classroom. Are you ready for the Canvas Challenge? Participants will need a laptop or mobile device for this session.
Getting Started with BYOD (Allison Sneller) - Introduction to the benefits of BYOD, suggestions for success, introduction to Kahoot, Edmodo and basic accessing information strategies.

Taking Charge with BYOD (Rebecca Ann Cullen)- This session aims at giving staff members useful implementation strategies and procedures for using BYOD in the classroom. It will discuss potential pitfalls and triumphs to help in planning how to utilize BYOD in your everyday teaching.
Digital Annotation Tools (Wendy McNeill) - Learn how to help prepare your students for PARCC. Practice using digital annotation tools with close readings of complex text. Services MackinVIA and Gale In Context databases have built in features for highlighting text and taking notes. Participants will also learn methods for digital text outside these services using Preview, Adobe Reader, and GAFE. Please bring a laptop or mobile device.
Flipping the Classroom (Natalie Rau)- The flipped classroom inverts traditional teaching methods, delivering instruction online outside of class and moving “homework” into the classroom.

Self Paced Lessons (Amy Holly and Theresa Reisman) -Learn tools and techniques to create and structure lessons that are self paced and individualized for students. Bring your laptop, a device (cell phone or tablet) and a lesson that you would like to work on. Time to create a lesson you will be able to use the next day! http://vimeo.com/113946752
Aurasma (Danielle Dunn)- You can use the Aurasma app to make posters turn into videos, books link to supplemental websites, make any image provide a code word, and much more. This is a great way to use BYOD to enhance your classroom by providing instant feedback or by delivering information or directions in a fun way.
